Assistant Vice President, Specialist, Account Services, Consumer Banking Operations

In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Job Objective The primary objective of this role is to manage customer information requests from various agencies including law enforcement, government and regulatory bodies, as well as internal and external customers. This involves handling winding-up and bankruptcy cases, deceased estates, and court order & police search warrants. The goal is to ensure a seamless process flow, adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements, and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Responsibilities As a Specialist, Talent Acquisition Group, you will be responsible for: Managing customer information requests from law enforcement agencies, government bodies, regulatory bodies, internal/external customers, and other service partners/external parties. Covering winding-up & bankruptcy, deceased and court order & police search warrants handlings to ensure seamless process flow and adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements and SLAs. Managing the end-to-end SLA to ensure services are provided within specified standards of service quality and turnaround time. Ensuring risk and control across the entire operations of the Customer Information Service Team. Developing, continuously reviewing, streamlining, and improving daily operation steps, as well as exploring digitalization opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround time while maintaining reasonable internal controls and mitigating operational risk. Delivering timely and accurate MIS and operation reports. Participating in new product/business/system initiative development by assessing operations/regulatory issues, evaluating computer system feasibility/enhancement needs, and allocating resources to meet the Bank’s strategy. Supporting ad-hoc projects and assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and live verification on various system enhancements to improve customer experience, increase productivity, and enhance control effectiveness in daily operations. Reviewing operation manuals and handbooks to ensure they are updated with changes in products, processes, and guidelines. Ensuring staff awareness and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements and internal control standards, and ensuring all operations comply with statutory and regulatory requirements. Ensuring periodic risk-based self-assessments and that exception/non-compliance issues are accurately reflected in respective management reports, and that any outstanding identified issues are rectified properly and timely. Requirements University graduate. Compliance and regulatory related experience is preferable. Basic legal knowledge and banking operation knowledge relating to Company Law; bankruptcy/winding-up procedures; deceased cases and various types of court order handlings. Specialized academic qualifications or experience in general banking practice and operations management is an advantage. Experience in customer information request from statutory, regulatory, and government bodies. General familiarity with legal documents, regulatory, and statutory procedures (such as court orders, probate/estate administration, and bankruptcy proceedings). Experience and sound knowledge to handle external enquiries from law enforcement agencies, various court orders, bankruptcy/winding-up, and deceased cases is highly preferred. Strong planning & organizing skills to carry out defined strategies within the unit. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the banking industry in consumer banking operations is preferable. At least 3 years in a supervisory level.
