About the Role
Responsible for driving product development and implementation process of saving products, including traditional savings, Investment Linked and Universal Life, with good quality and accuracy of deliverables in a timely manner.
This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Define the product strategies and actively create / explore new product ideas to support multi-channels distribution
Lead and implement product design and development cycle in line with the company strategies in various product development projects
Work with channels to deliver various product initiatives in order to meet business goals of multi-channels
Conduct focus groups with customers and frontline to test new product ideas
Conduct training / district visits to frontline for new product initiatives to facilitate the understanding of product proposition, key selling edges and new product features / concept
Collaborate with various stakeholders, such as Product Pricing, Actuarial, Operations, Reinsurers, Agency, Partnership Distribution, Marketing, Group Office counterparties etc, to drive various initiatives to implement the agreed business plan of product initiatives in order to meet the business goals
Develop/ Review various product literatures (e.g. contract, PGS template, memo, product specification, training materials), product launch pack and presentation materials for product launches
Review product literatures from other departments to ensure accuracy from product perspective
Oversee the quality and manage the timeline of materials delivered by team members
Participate in Product Implementation Taskforce and PGS regular meetings to drive the implementation of the product launches, various product and / or regulatory initiatives with good quality and timely manner
Ensure the product development and implementation processes compliant with regulatory guidelines, Group’s governance structures and Risk and Compliance Standards
Lead various product maintenance tasks for inforce business (e.g. revamp in existing product literatures, dividend review, periodic due diligence with bank partners, Day 2 product development items, etc.)
Conduct post implementation review via business data report and feedback from frontline
Lead the ad-hoc projects and other duties as required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
University / College graduate plus around 10-15 years of working experience in insurance industry, actuarial science or related background is preferred
Solid experience in product development and good understanding on operation workflow and system setup under product development cycle
Creative with innovative thinking and customer oriented
Solid experience in the areas of business development, strategic planning and project management
In-depth knowledge in responsible for marketing and communication
Distribution channel experience covering both agency and bancassurance is preferable
Good problem-solving skills
Good communication and presentation skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
